FOR DECADES a movement has been building in this country in support of walking, cycling, and other forms of active transportation. Today, we have a window of opportunity to make major gains.

At the Minister's invitation our alliance of walking, cycling, and active school travel organizations has submitted a joint proposal to undertake strategy development. But funding has yet to be secured. It's time for champions of AT to raise our voices in support of a bold strategy that will get us where we want to be: a nation in which walking and cycling are practical, convenient, safe, enjoyable.
